I finally had time to mess with the blog settings tonight and I found a new look that I liked.

Some love for The Office
Those of you who know me well already know that The Office is one of the only shows on TV that I try to watch regularly. If you missed the season finale last night, try to find it online somewhere and watch it. It was great! Anyway, here are a few Office tidbits:
Do you want to read Creed's blog (the non-Word doc version)? Check it out here.
Do you remember this from the episode a few weeks ago when Dwight was on the hunt for a flasher?
If you want to laugh, call the 1-800 number listed on the folder.
Currently listening to: Jack Johnson Live at the Dodge Theatre, Phoenix, AZ (Aug. 5, 2005)

Our little girl turned 3 today
Austin Recap
First off, it’s important to realize that we didn’t go to Austin to see Austin. We went to Austin to see the Zimels. It’s hard for me to imagine two families that mesh so well together – Adam and I are best friends, Missi and Amber-Rose are unbelievably close, and the kids play great together. One important distinction, however, is that the Wilson family won’t be keeping up with the Zimels in the babymaking department. But I digress…
We flew from Portland to Denver to Austin, and the kids did great on the plane. I think they were in a state of wonderment about the whole experience, but even after that wore off (about 15 minutes into the flight), they did great. Once in Austin we got to watch Samuel play flag football and attend his seventh birthday party on Saturday. That evening we got kid care and we all went to dinner, which was definitely one of the most fun evenings we’ve had in a long time. Sunday we went to the Zimels awesome church and then went to lunch and met up with an old friend from Tigard. Amanda lives in Round Rock now while her husband pitches for the Round Rock Express. Monday Adam had to go to work, so we visited Ikea and hung out. Once he got off work we went swimming and played games in the evening. Throughout our time there, the Zimels were incredible hosts and made us feel totally welcome. Like all our time with their family, it wasn’t long enough, but it was an amazing visit and we had a great time.

Whew…That’s been a loooonnnnggg time
Well, it has been quite the break from blogging for me. I was extremely busy with end-of-the-year activities, and right after school let out we took off for Austin to visit the Zimels. I haven’t looked back through the archives, but I would venture to guess that my blogging frequency during March and April was the lowest it has ever been. Now I’m sitting in a hotel in Bend, Oregon for work, and I finally have a chance to update the blog. My summer will be comprised of me working full time, watching Drew’s baseball games, hanging with the fam, and hopefully getting out to do some fun things (hiking, camping, etc…). I’ll try to keep up with the blog, but I think I’ll only be posting around once a week or so. As always, I enjoy getting comments on anything I write.
